A funny little blog about me, my family, my beautiful black Cockers-Smokey and now Cooper as Smokey has crossed the rainbow bridge and of course my cross stitch samplers.

Home Sweet Home: An Embroidered Workbox – post to my diary - (Book Review – Needle’nThread.com)
Home Sweet Home: An Embroidered Workbox – Book Review – Needle’nThread.com.
I just fell in love with this. Another side of me that has been "sleeping" for some time. Crewel work. I used to do this a long time ago but got away when cross stitch became so popular. I want to find someone in the USA that has this item for sale... So adorable. Funny what triggers the drive to keep stitchin!
Angela's Veil - post to my diary
The Veil! It was made of three layers of fabric. Each layer had a row of beads (three in each stitch) all the way around each edge. The comb was beaded with the leftovers from Angela's wedding dress. It hung beautifully from her updo!
